Over 65 cultural organisations in Liverpool City Region (LCR) have joined forces to establish an equitable new Community Interest Company (CIC) to strengthen the region’s already vibrant cultural offer. We know together we are stronger!
As a paid membership organisation, The Culture Network LCR CIC, welcomes cultural organisations, big and small, that are interested in operating collaboratively to amplify each other and the regional impacts of arts and culture.
Our ultimate goal is to produce a creative, innovative, collaborative, confident, prosperous and healthy city region open to ideas, constantly learning and globally-connected.

The Culture Network LCR has 5 Core Aims and 5 Core Values that are driving our work for the benefit of all its members and, in turn, its connected communities:
5 Core Aims:
- Joint Promotion
- Networking
- Joint Programming
- Shared Learning
- One Advocating Voice
5 Core Values:
- Collaboration
- Inclusivity
- Sustainability
- Creativity
- Community
And most importantly, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Access weave through all of these areas.

At the end of January 2024, Charlotte Corrie took on the role of Executive Director for The Culture Network LCR. Charlotte has worked in the creative industries in the city region for 27+ years and has successfully run Open Culture CIC since 2010. Open Culture projects include LightNight in Liverpool, Winter & Summer Art Markets at Liverpool Cathedral, Uncover Liverpool, and Tickle the Ivories in Liverpool ONE.

As you can see this is already one of the largest paid cultural networks in the country and potentially the world. Our strength is in coming together, allowing us to connect with and be showcased to other cultural networks across the globe.
As we all know we are facing global problems and challenges, and as we’ve seen it’s not the politicians that are always equipped or even have the will to change things. It’s the scientists, the innovators and us creatives that can, and should, be leading the way. So, organisations like The Culture Network LCR are now more important than ever!
The Culture Network LCR’s 5 priority areas and structure were identified following research and consultation undertaken to review the structures of the existing Liverpool networks LARC and COoL. This impartial research was undertaken by Chester-based consultancy Augere, which aims to help businesses perform better and faster.
