Join a Growing Community

A flourishing and sustainable arts and culture scene can be likened to healthy and fertile soil – teeming with life and diversity, full of energy, stimulating new growth with the large supporting the small, and the small very much helping to sustain the large. That’s how we see The Culture Network LCR working and growing!

Now is a great time to join the current 75+ members and help build The Culture Network LCR.

Annual membership subscription is calculated as 0.1% (£100 per £100,000) of a company’s annual turnover. The lowest annual charge being £120 for a cultural organisation with a turnover under £100k per annum (equates to just £10 per month), and capped at a maximum of £5,000 per annum for a cultural organisation with annual turnover exceeding £5m.

The cost of membership is deliberately varied and dependent on the size of the business. Larger companies pay a higher fee as they are helping to support and subsidise access, keeping subscription low for smaller creative organisations. Just like healthy soil, with the large supporting the small!

During the first two development years of the CIC, membership will be paid on an annual subscription, renewable at the start of April.

Longer term, we’ll be reviewing the annual invoicing with the potential to allow new and existing member applicants to also pay on a monthly basis.

One Advocating Voice
  • Our Working Groups bring members together to collaborate on shared challenges, shape priorities, and develop collective responses across the cultural sector in Liverpool City Region.

They are spaces for peer learning, knowledge-sharing and collective action, helping members influence strategy, strengthen practice and build partnerships beyond individual organisations. Some groups focus on long-term sector priorities, while others respond to emerging needs or opportunities.

Participation is open to members with relevant interest or experience, and groups are shaped by those involved.

Our current Working Groups

1. Strategy
A space for members to contribute to big-picture thinking about the Culture Network’s direction, priorities and role in the region – supporting collective leadership and long-term planning.

2. Joint Promotion
Focused on collaboration around communications, shared audiences and collective visibility, helping members amplify activity and strengthen sector voice.

3. Equity, Diversity, Inclusion & Access (EDIA)
Brings members together to share learning, challenge barriers and develop practical approaches that embed equity, inclusion and access across cultural practice.

Read or download the EDIA Working Group’s Allyship document below, offering shared principles and practical guidance for more equitable, inclusive and anti-racist cultural practice.

4. SHIFT: The Sustainability Network
Supports members to respond to the climate emergency through shared learning, collaboration and practical action – recognising sustainability as both an environmental and organisational issue.
